Netherlea, Fife
A twenty nine flat project on the opposite side of the River Tay from the new V&A Dundee. The 2,500m² development will see the former Netherlea hospital demolished and replaced by four blocks with a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments. Set into the hillside, each subterranean space has been designed as a waterproof concrete box supporting the lighter steel and timber hybrid structures above. The superstructures have been designed with large apertures in the main elevations to maximise light and connection to the landscape.
