SAM WILSON
Senior Civil and Structural Engineer
MEng (Hons) GMIStructE
Sam studied at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh where he graduated in 2016 with a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering with first class honours.
He began his career with AECOM (Edinburgh) where he joined the structures team as part of their graduate development programme. At AECOM Sam worked on various projects ranging from the structural survey and analysis of Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, Aberdeen, Perth and Inverness train stations for Network Rail, to the structural design of smaller pumping stations and crane buildings for Scottish Hydro. Sam joined SF Structures Scotland in February 2019 where he now works on a broad range of domestic and commercial projects of various sizes. He is working towards professional chartership with the IStructE.
Beyond engineering, Sam enjoys road cycling, motorsport, long walks with the dog and any DIY project!
