Senior Civil & Structural Engineer

MEng (Hons)

Kane studied Engineering at the University of Strathclyde where he graduated in 2014 with a Masters degree in Structural and Architectural Engineering.

He began his engineering career working in the oil and gas sector dealing primarily with temporary works design to facilitate offshore installations.  Following a brief 12 month stint in Aberdeen, Kane relocated to the central belt where he began his employment with the building structures team at AECOM (Edinburgh).

Whilst employed at AECOM, Kane was involved in a variety of new industrial building projects including the £40M expansion of an existing wind turbine manufacturing facility located on the Kintyre Peninsula.  Kane also played a key role in a nationwide rail infrastructure project which required him to survey and report on the condition of existing railway stations and depots across Scotland.

In February 2018, Kane joined Steven at SF Structures as a project engineer where he has further developed his technical design experience in residential, commercial and agricultural projects.  More recently, Kane has been involved in growing the business through developing close working relationships with Architects and other consultants alike.

Outside the office Kane enjoys the outdoors and is a keen follower of motorsport and mixed martial arts.
