John studied Civil & Structural Engineering at Kirkcaldy Technical College where he graduated in 1988 with an ONC/HNC in Structural Engineering.

 

His career started at McGregor Associates (Dunfermline) and he has 39 years experience working for various consultants in both contract and staff roles.  Noteworthy projects he has worked on include the Royal Bank of Scotland Headquarters and Arch Bridge over the A80 at Gogarburn for Anthony Hunt Associates. John also diversified into working on capital projects for Babcock Engineering (Rosyth) preparing designs for two new Aircraft Carriers for the MOD.

 

John enjoys developing drawings in the 3D built environment having developed his skills firstly on AutoCAD in 3D and then latterly using Revit.

 

Outside the office John enjoys golfing and watching Ice Hockey at his local club the Fife Flyers.
